Bob Miranti Artist Statement
From photography I have learned about color, light and composition.
From ceramics I’ve learned about form, volume and texture.
I’ve learned about drama growing up in a dysfunctional Irish-Italian Catholic family.
Having made the decision to leave the banking world in 2005, I now work full time in ceramics.
My aesthetic alternates between austere and Rococo. My current work focuses on the interaction of light, texture and surface. For me, sometimes less is more and sometimes more is more.
